THE INSIDERS ROOM'S PAC 12 SUPER-SPECIAL (STANFORD @ OREGON!)
(NCAAF) Stanford vs. Oregon,
Point Spread: 8.50 | -113.00 Stanford (Away)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* SUPER-SPECIAL on Stanford.

Outright win?! Probably not. But after going 4-8 in 2019, and with only six games for this strange 2020 season, the Cardinal are out for a much better result, starting on Saturday.

Oregon won the Pac 12 Championship Game and then beat No. 8 Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day last year. Last season it won this game 21-6, covering the 12.5 point spread.

Stanford split time under center between KJ Costello and Davis Mills. Costello hit the bricks though and Mills completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,960 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions last year. The Cardinal's top five receivers return as well.

Stanford averaged only 21.7 points per game last year and it allowed 29.8, but with several returning starters on both sides of the ball, expect a marked improvement moving forward.

Justin Herbert has left Oregon, meaning that Tyler Shough and Anthony Brown will compete for the job under center. Both are accomplished and should excel, but there's still going to be a transitional period for this offense for sure.

The Ducks are going to be good again, but with plenty of new faces on both sides of the ball, the window is open for a competitive game on Opening night.

With a game at Washington State next week, I expect the home side to take the foot off the gas in the second half.

Grab the points!

Good luck, NP
