THE INSIDERS ROOM'S 10* UPSET BLOWOUT (1:00 EST KICK-OFF!)
(NFL) San Francisco vs. Dallas,
Point Spread: 3.00 | -101.00 Dallas (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 10* UPSET BLOWOUT on the Dallas Cowboys.

San Francisco isn't mathematically eliminated from playoff contention yet, but it's close. It's been an uphill battle for the 49ers from Week 1 and their 5-8 record is indicative of that.

The 4-9 Dallas Cowboys though still are in the thick of the NFC East battle with five games remaining. Washington leads the division at 6-7, but has a tough matchup at home against the Seahawks.

The Giants have to face a red-hot Cleveland team at home, while Philadelphia is an underdog as well this weekend on the road in Arizona.

When you look at all four of these matchups, it's hard to argue that Dallas doesn't have the easiest one. If the other three teams lose, and the Cowboys win at home this Sunday, then Dallas is right back into the playoff mix and really would be in the driver's seat at that point with back-to-back victories.

The Cowboys cruised to a relatively simple 30-7 win at Cincinnati last weekend, as Andy Dalton had 185 passing yards and two touchdowns. Dalton is starting to look a lot more comfortable after being thrust back into the spotlight when Dak Prescott went down and he has plenty of top-tier weapons to utilize, including Amari Cooper and Ezekiel Elliott.

San Fran has lost back to back games and one has to wonder where the motivation will come this weekend. It's essentially do or die for the 49ers this Sunday, but the hole is just too big to climb out of in my opinion. The 49ers have a decent defense, but the offense has been ravaged by injury all year.

So that's my read on this one, a couple of teams that have struggled due in large part to external circumstances, but Dallas is finally starting to find some chemistry and after last weekend's crucial road victory, I like the Cowboys to keep the momentum rolling at home. I'll grab the points, but I'll also recommend sprinkling a little on the "money line."

Good luck, NP
