This is an 8* play on the UNDER Canucks/Oilers.

Vancouver snapped a four-year playoff drought last year. The Canucks had no issues scoring last year, it was their defense which was the issue.

The Canucks have two great goaltenders though in Thatcher Demko and Braden Holtby. With the focus of the team looking to address the defensive issues, I expect to see that on the ice this evening.

The Oilers are also loaded with offensive talent, but Edmonton won't go anywhere unless it manages to buckle down on the defensive end as well. Mikko Koskinen and Mike Smith are a strong duo in net as well.

These teams are going to see a lot of each other this season, and I expect them both to play to a tighter, but ultimately lower-scoring affair in Opening night.
