THE PROFESSOR’S NBA “CLASS-IS-IN-SESSION!” (SIGNATURE PICK!)(2-0 NBA YD)
(NBA) Portland vs. LA Lakers,
Point Spread: 6.50 | -106.00 Portland (Away)
Result: Loss
The Portland Trailblazers came were one of the best teams in the bubble and they showed it in game 1 against the Lakers coming away with a 100-93 upset win. Damian Lillard had 34 points and five assists and CJ McCollum hit some big shots down the stretch and ended with 21 points. Jusuf Nurkic had a double-double with 16 points with 15 rebounds. They lost a huge lead but closed out the game outscoring the Lakers 13-6.

The Los Angeles Lakers have not been playing like a number one seed since they clinched the top seed. The offense has been lackluster in losing five of their last six games. LeBron James did everything he could to will the Lakers to a win. he has 23 points with 17 rebounds and 16 assists in the loss. Anthony Davis had a huge first half with 21 points but faded in the second half ending with just 28 points and he pulled down 11 rebounds. They were unable to get any type of production from their other players.

The Trailblazers are 47-22 ATS in the last 69 meetings overall against the Lakers. Lillard did what he has been doing in game one but got key contributions from other players. James did everything he could, but Davis was a no show in the second half and nobody else stepped up. The Lakers will not shoot as bad as they did in game one but I like the Blazers to keep this one close.

Play on Portland.
