Point Spread: -3.00 | -117.00 Army (Home)
Result: Win
The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders had a poor season last year, winning just four times. They finished poorly down the stretch losing five of their last seven. Last season, the offense put up 26.3 points a game and on the defensive side of the ball, they allowed 29.9 points. They have both quarterbacks returning from last year. Chase Cunningham and Asher O'Hara combined for 2,837 yards, 22 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
The Army Black Knights weren't much better last season winning just five games themselves. They finished the season losing seven of their last nine. The Army offense is putting up 28.5 points a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 23 points. Army will have a new man under center as they will need to replace Kelvin Hopkins Jr. Running back Sandon McCoy had 576 rushing yards last season to go with 10 touchdowns.
Army has experience on both sides of the ball but replacing a quarterback could be a problem in the triple threat offense. They only won five games last year so their quarterback couldn't have been all that. MTSU struggles when stepping up in competition. Army has enough on both sides of the ball to come away with the win and cover.
Play on Army.
