(NCAAF) UTSA vs. Texas State,
Point Spread: -8.50 | -115.00 Texas State (Home)
Result: Loss
The UTSA Roadrunners will have a new coach this season as they try to improve on their 4-8 record last season. Along with a new coach, they may have a new quarterback as Josh Adkins transferred from New Mexico State. In his last to years for the Aggies, he threw for 5,151 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions. He will have to win the job from either Lowell Narcisse or. Runningback Sincere McCormick returns after rushing for 983 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns last season. On the defensive side of the ball, they return eight of the top 12 tacklers from last year’s squad.

The Texas State Bobcats lost their opening game of the season 31-24 to SMU. Even though they lost they had a solid showing against a team that was expected to win more easily. Against SMU, the offense was led by quarterback Brady McBride with for 227 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Calvin Hill has 100 yards rushing yards and Brock Sturges added 95 yards on the ground with a touchdown.

Texas State had a solid showing against SMU and has a game under their belt. UTSA has a new coach and possibly a new quarterback that has transferred from a different school. They have to implement that with no spring games and little practice time. I will take the team that has played a game and lay the points.

Lay on Texas State.
