The Chicago Cubs couldn't get the bats going Friday night and dropped a 1-0 decision to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs were only able to manage two hits and struck out twelve times in the loss. Jon Lester bounced back with a nice effort to no avail. He went six scoreless innings while giving up just three hits and striking out eight. Kyle Hendricks will make the start for the Cubs. So far this season, he has posted a 5-4 record with a 3.41 ERA and 44 strikeouts. In his career against the Brewers, he is 9-6 with a 2.87 ERA.

The Milwaukee Brewers didn't do a lot offensively but they did get the hits when needed and eked out a 1-0 win. Brandon Woodruff threw seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit giving up just one hit and striking out 12. Brett Anderson gets the start for the Brewers in today's game. On the season, he is 2-3 with a 4.64 ERA and 21 strikeouts this season. In his career against the Cubs, he is 1-1 with a 2.66 ERA.

The Under has gone 7-1-1 in Chicago's last nine games. The under is 40-15-1 in the last 56 meetings between these two teams. The CUbs have not been hitting much as of late. Hendricks is not as good on the road as he is at home but he is still a tough pitcher to score on. I am looking for another low scoring game...not 1-0 mind you but another game that goes under the total.
