The TCU Horned Frogs did not fare too well in their opening game of the season, dropping their opener 37-34 to Iowa State. Quarterback Max Duggan threw for 241 yards, with three touchdowns and an interception. Matthew Downing threw for 159 yards and a score. Emari Demercado rushed for just 39. Four different receivers caught a touchdown pass and none had over a hundred yards receiving.

The Texas Longhorns are coming off a 63-56 OT win over Texas Tech to move to 2-0 on the season. They needed to score 15 points in the final 2:40 to send the game to overtime. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger has thrown for 688 yards this season, to go with ten touchdowns and an interception. The rushing attack is led by Keyontae Ingram with 133 yards while Roschon Johnson has added 82 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Joshua Moore has 11 catches for 200 yards with 4 touchdowns and Brendan Schooler has 9 catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

TCU has gone over the total in seven of their last eight games as an underdog. Texas has gone over in their last four home games against a team with a losing record. Both teams have struggled to stop anybody on defense. Texas has an explosive offense and can score from anywhere on the field. TCU should be able to get theirs against the Texas defense so this game goes over the total early.
