The Cleveland Browns take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday's NFL action. The Eagles have won just three games this season but find themselves in first place in NFC East or should I say LEAST.
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a disappointing 27-17 loss to the NY Giants. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak. The Eagles have only covered the spread three times this season. The Eagle's problems all year has been the struggles of Carson Wentz. He has completed 59% or fewer of his passes in five straight games. Overall he has thrown for 2091 passing yards to go with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The rushing attack is led by Miles Sanders with 519. Travis Fulgham has emerged as Wentz's favorite target, in the absence of Zack Ertz, and has 443 yards receiving. The Eagles offense is putting up 22.6 points, and are giving up 25.8 points a game.
The Cleveland Browns love playing at home where they are 5-1 this season. They are coming off a 10-7 win over Houston last weekend. Cleveland has not covered in four consecutive games. Cleveland quarterback, Baker Mayfield has gone two straight games without throwing a touchdown pass, as the Browns have shifted their focus to a ground attack. For the season, he has thrown for 1646 yards to go with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The rushing attack is led by Kareem Hunt with over 600 yards. Nick Chubb has added 461 yards, including 125 last week after being out with an injury The top receiving target is Jarvis Landry with 448 receiving yards. The Browns offense will need to pick it up as they have scored 10 or fewer points in three out of their last four games. Cleveland's offense is putting up 24 points, and the defense is giving up 27.1 points, but have given u just 13 points combined in their last two games.
I like this number for the Browns against an Eagles team that has struggled all season. The Eagles have not beaten a team with a winning record this season. The Eagles rush defense is 25th in the league and Cleveland will give them a study diet of Hunt and Chubb. While Carson Wentz has been awful this season, their rushing offense has been productive, but they are going against a rush defense that is ranked 8th in the NFL. Take the Browns and lay the points in this one,
Play on Cleveland.
