The Purdue Boilermakers host the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The Golden Grizzlies have lost all four games this season but are coming off an overtime loss to Michigan last time out. The Boilermakers are 1-1 after beating Liberty and losing to Clemson.

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies have faced Xavier, Toledo, and Bradley before the loss to Michigan. The offense is led by Jalen Moore with 15.5 points a game but is just shooting 29 percent from the field. He had 21 points against Michigan. Rashad Williams led the team in scoring last season at 19.5 points a game but is struggling this season finding his shot and is averaging just 5.7 points a game. As a team, last season they averaged just 67.8 points a game and they allowed 69.7 points.

The Purdue Boilermakers opened the season with a 77-64 win over liberty but lost their next game to Clemson 80-71. They were picked to finish in 9th place in the Big 10 preseason media poll. They return a core from last year's roster including leading scorer Trevion Williams. Last season he averaged 11.5 points a game and so far has scored 17 points and 19 rebounds season. Freshman Zach Edey has hit the floor running putting up 19 points and 17 points in his first two games of the season. Last season the team averaged 68.2 points a game and gave up 62.6 points.

Oakland has been double-digit dogs in all four games but has covered in their last two. They have built some momentum after taking #25 Michigan to overtime as 31 point dogs. Purdue lost to Clemson 81-70 their last time out. Purdue will win this game but not cover the big number. Purdue isn't considered a high potent offense and that goes bode well against a big number.
