The 3-3 Pepperdine Waves take on the 1-4 UNLV Rebels in nonconference action. Pepperdine is 3-3 to start the season and finished with an 8-8 record last season in the West Coast Conference on its way to a 16-16 overall record. They are coming off an 89-84 loss to CSU Northridge. Colbey Ross had 29 points nine assists in the win. Kessler Edwards added 21 points and nine rebounds. For the season, the offense is led by Kessler Edwards with 20.7 points a game and he grabs 6.8 rebounds. Colbey Ross adds 20 points and he dishes out 7.8 assists. Jan Zidek chips 13.8 points per game.

UNLV has a poor start to the season posting a 1-4 record. Last season, they finished with a 12-6 record in the Mountain West and just 17-15 overall. Their last game was on December 5th, when they defeated Kansas State 68-58. In the Kansas State game, David Jenkins Jr led the Rebels with 25 points. Bryce Hamilton had 18 points and 8 rebounds with 6 assists. For the season, the offense is led by Bryce Hamilton with 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4 assists. Caleb Grill adds 13.8 points and David Jenkins Jr chips in 13.2 points a game.

The Rebels have struggled all season, especially on the defensive end. The waves should be able to take advantage of the Rebels' defense and should get some good looks from deep. I feel that Pepperdine has too much on the offensive end for the Rebels to overcome.
Play on Pepperdine.
