(MLB) NY Mets vs. Washington,
Money Line: -117.00 NY Mets (Away)
Result: Loss
The New York Mets and the Washington Nationals finish off a four-game set on Sunday with the Nationals having taken two out of three so far. The two teams split a doubleheader yesterday after Washington took game one, 1-0 on Friday. The Mets will look to come out of the series with a split by riding the arms of Taijuan Walker. Walker will make the start today and has posted a 2.12 ERA to go with a 6-2 record with 72 strikeouts and 24 walks in 68.0 innings. The Nationals will counter with Patrick Corbin on the mound. Corbin comes into this game sporting a 4-5 overall record with a 5.60 ERA with 55 strikeouts and 27 walks in 70.2 innings.

The Mets have the better starter on the mound in this one. Walker has held the opposition one or fewer earned runs in five out of his last seven outings. He has faced the Nationals one this season and was able to hold them off the board in seven innings of work. Corbin has been up and down all season for the nats and like Walker, he has faced the Mets once this season, and things did not go well, as he gave up four runs in four innings of work. Take the better and more consistent pitcher in this one.

Play on the NEW YORK METS.
