National West powers collide when the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants meet in Game 1 of the NLDS. The Dodgers took care of the Cardinals 3-1 with a walk-off homer in the ML Wild Card Game. The Dodgers will look to get off to a good start by sending Walker Buehler to the mound. He posted a 16-4 record with a 2.47 ERA with 212 strikeouts this season. In the postseason, he is 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA with 83 strikeouts. The Giants held off the dodgers down the stretch by winning 12 of their last 15 games. The Giants will counter by sending Logan Webb to the mound. He finished the season at 11-3 with a 3.03 ERA and 158 strikeouts.

Buehler had success against San Francisco in the regular season and now the Giants are without their top power hitter in Belt. Webb pitched well to close out the season and allowed nine home runs in 148 innings and is a ground ball pitcher. Webb should be able to neutralize the Dodger's power and Buehler is more than capable of shutting down the Giants bats. I am looking for a very close game decided late.
