The Panthers looked like a different team last week with Cam Newton under center and the return of Christian McCaffery in the backfield. They were able to pound the Murray-less Arizona Cardinals into submission, coming away with a 24 point win. Cam Newton will make the start in this game and the return of Christian McCaffrey who put up 95 yards on the ground on just 13 carries in his return. They will be facing a defense that lost their best player in Chase Young last week with an injury. Washington is coming off a huge win over Tampa Bay but has lost four of their last five overall. During that stretch, they have struggled on the offensive end scoring points and their pass offense has not been reliable. They will be facing the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL. I look for Washington to look more like the team that lost four out of five than the team that beat Tampa. Carolina will ride the Cam train one more week to victory.
