The Golden Gophers come into this Big 10 contest against Michigan State, having won seven in a row, They have turned it up on the defensive end, especially at home, where they are giving up under 50 points a game in their home gym. They have not faced the level of competition yet that the Spartans will bring. The Spartans turn the ball over way too much for my liking but when they do hold on to it they are making 45 percent of thier shots. The Spartans have been able to control the boards, especially on the offensive end where they are averaging 10 offensive boards a game which leads to easy buckets. Minnesota is one of the worst offensive rebounding teams so they will need to make the most of thier first shot opportunities. State plays a very tough defense which will make it hard for the Gophers to get easy first shots I like the Spartans to get a road win and cover in this one.
