PROFESSOR’S 10* MLB CODE BLUE TOTAL BLOWOUT
(MLB) Chi White Sox vs. Cleveland,
Total: 7.50 | -120.00 Over
Result: Push
Total: 7.50 | -120.00 Over
Result: Push
The Chicago White Sox will take on AL Central foe, the Cleveland Guardians in the first of a four-game set. Chicago took two of three from a Tampa Bay over the weekend. Cleveland was swept over the weekend by San Francisco, a series in which Cleveland scored just four total runs. The White Sox will send Dallas Keuchel to the mound to face off against Triston McKenzie.
The Sox are hoping Kuechel can step up in the absence of Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito. In his first start of the season, he went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits. Last season he posted a 9-9 record with a 5.28 ERA. Triston McKenzie allowed just two runs over seven innings while striking out seven in his first start this season. Last season he posted a 5-9 record with a 4.95 ERA.
Both of these pitchers struggled last season. The White Sox have an elite offense despite the fact they are missing Moncada and Abreu and Robert are off to a slow start. Kuechel has a career 3.53 career ERA against Cleveland, but has lost a bit and is more hittable than he was earlier in his career. The over is still 5-2 in Cleveland's last seven. Expect to see plenty of runs. Kuechel had a decent opening start but I look for both teams to put up runs in this one.
Play on the OVER. This is a 6* play.
