THE PROF'S SATURDAY NIGHT MLB BLOOD-BATH
(MLB) Chi Cubs vs. Milwaukee,
Money Line: -157.00 Milwaukee (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -157.00 Milwaukee (Home)
Result: Win
The Chicago Cubs will take on their NL Central rivals the Milwaukee Brewers in game two of a three-game set. The Brewers took game one 11-1 yesterday. Milwaukee will send Eric Lauer to the mound. The Cubs will counter with Justin Steele. Justin Steele has made four starts this season, his first two were good his last two have been bad. He has failed to make it past the third inning in his last two starts and has an ERA this season of 5.40. In Lauer's last start, he struck out 13 in six shutout innings with just five hits.
The Cubs lost seven of their last nine games. After scoring 21 against Pittsburgh they have scored ten runs in the next four games. The Brewers have won four in a row and six out of seven. I expect the Cubs to struggle to score runs against Lauer and the Brewers bullpen. Steele has not looked good in his last two outings and will struggle against a surging Brewers offense.
Play on Milwaukee. This is a 5* play.
