The Edmonton Oilers battle the Calgary Flames for a spot in the NHL Western Conference finals and bragging rights for Alberta. Edmonton took seven games to dispatch the LA kings while Calgary also needed seven games t get by Dallas. The Oilers scored 3.48 goals a game during the regular season and have upped it to 3.86 goals a game in the playoffs. On the defensive end, they are giving up 2.43 goals a game. Calgary is getting it done with their defense as they have allowed just two goals a game. They have needed it as their offense is only producing only 2.14 goals a game.

Calgary is 1-4 in the last five conference semifinals while Edmonton is 7-3 in the last 10 on the road and 23-9 in the last 32 overall. Edmonton has a decided advantage on the offensive end. After one series the defenses are about even. Edmonton also has a huge advantage on the powerplay which could be a factor in this game. I will take the Oilers at + money in this one.
