The Florida Panthers will try to even their series with the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Panthers can't afford to go down 0-2 heading to Tampa. Tampa Bay took Game 1 by the score f 4-1. The defense played better as they have allowed 31.3 shots and are giving up 3.13 goals a game in the playoffs. The Panthers will have to play with more discipline as they allowed three power-play goals in Game 1. The defense needs to be better overall as they have allowed 31.1 shots and 3.29 goals a game in the playoffs.

I am looking for a closer, lower-scoring game than these offenses suggest. The Panthers can't afford to lose so I would expect them t play a little closer to the vest and not take stupid penalties. Goaltenders Andrei Vasilevskiy and Sergei Bobrovsky have been good all season and I don't see either having a bad game. Tampa Bay is allowing 1.7 goals a game over their last three games while Florida is giving up three goals a game in their last four. The under has hit in five of the previous seven games against one another.
