The 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs are down to the final two teams. The Western Conference champion Colorado Avalanche will host the Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay is going for a three-peat. Colorado is going for their first Cup since 2001. Colorado had a fairly easy ride to the finals sweeping Nashville and Edmonton while losing two games to St. Louis. Tampa Bay needed seven games to get past Toronto in round one, swept the Panthers, and then took care of the Rangers in 6. Colorado has an edge in speed and on the offensive end while Tampa Bay has a huge edge between the pipes. Colorado has had a long rest that I don't think will be a benefit in game one. Take Tampa to pull off an upset in game one.
