Detroit had been placed by Vegas in the underdog role the last 24 games. That could be the case by kickoff but the Lions were installed as a slight favorite at the opening. It was the same old Lions last week, scoring a ton of points but their defense could not rise to the occasion and a shaky on-side kick in the third led to their downfall in typical Lions fashion. The Lions' offense used the rushing attack effectively with Deandre Swift gaining 144 yards and scoring a touchdown. The Lions have won three out of their last four home games and their last two e if given time. Washington made some big plays on offense last week but also made some big mistakes. Wentz turns the ball over and I expect the Lion's defense to play better this week against an offense that didn't do a lot against the Jags.
