The Philadelphia Phillies have made the playoffs for the first time in 11 years and will travel to St. Louis to take on the St. Louis Cardinals. Zack Wheeler will get the call in the opener for the Phillies. He made only made two starts in September and one in October due to injury. He has posted a 2.82 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP this season to go with a 12-7 record. This season Cardinals he has thrown 14 shutout innings. For his career, he is 3-2 with a 2.65 ERA in six career starts. The Cardinals will go with Jose Quintana in game one. Quintana pitched really well in September, posting a 0.89 ERA in four outings. This season he has a 2.93 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP and a 6-7 record. He faced the Phillies once this season, going 5.2 shutout inning and in his career, he is 0-1 with a 2.90 ERA in 40.1 career innings. The Cards were shut out in two of their four home games against the Phillies and scored 20 runs in the seven games. Wheeler has conceded two or fewer runs in seven out of his last ten starts.
