Point Spread: -5.00 | -110.00 Denver (Home)
Result: Push
The Los Angeles Lakers looked like they were going to be embarrassed in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against Denver. After some adjustments, they were able to make it a game at the end but couldn't get over the hump. Now that both teams have a game under their belt you could expect this to be a slower-paced game than in Game 1. The Lakers were 17-21-1 ATS record as a road underdog this year. You cant expect both teams to shoot at 55% lie in Game 1 and of course, Davis and James can get theirs but can you expect Reeves and Company to step up game after game? The Nuggets have better and more consistent third scorers and that will be the difference in this one. Denver is 30-17-1 ATS at home this season. The Nuggets have the advantage of playing in altitude and the Laker's old stars put a lot of effort in their comeback to fall short. The Nuggets are 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings between these two teams in Denver.
