The Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres will meet in the first game of a four-game set at Petco Park. The Cubs are expected to start Jameson Taillon while the Padres counter with Michael Wacha. Taillon has failed to complete five innings for five straight starts, and he's allowed four earned runs or more in four consecutive outings. Since coming back from injury, he has allowed 21 earned runs in 17 1/3 innings. Wacha has been great in May, going 3-0 with a 0.84 ERA and 7.3 K/9 through five starts. On the season, he has posted a 3.45 ERA, 1.10 WHIP. Chicago comes into this game striking out the fifth most in the Majors, and they have been a far cry from their offensive explosion in April. They are 24-31 entering this game and are 0-8 when Jameson Taillon starts. I like Wacha to have a great game here, and the majority of the runs being generated by the Padres. Both teams have been struggling at the plate but I am taking the Padres to score off of Taillon and the Cubs to struggle against a red-hot Wacha.
