The Miami Marlins are on the road to battle the Washington Nationals. The Marlins are expected to go with Sandy Alcantara while the Nationals will counter with Trevor Williams. Alcantara has struggled this season, posting a 2-5 record with a 4.75 ERA, and a 1.18 WHIP. Despite having a winning record, they have been poor on offense. They are in the bottom 10 in runs, home runs, RBIs, and OPS. Williams on the other hand is 3-4 with a 4.11 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. Washington ranks in the bottom 10 in runs, home runs, RBIs, SLG, and OPS. Their pitching has been just as bad as they are in the bottom 10 in ERA, hits allowed, runs allowed, home runs allowed, WHIP, and batting average against. If Alcantara is going to turn it around, this is the perfect team to do it against. In five starts last season against the Nationals, he and a 0.78 WHIP. He did not allow more than one earned run in any of the starts. The Marlins have won six of their last nine road games and have won seven of their last 10. The Nationals have lost eight of their last 10 but are coming off a win over the Astros. I am taking the Marlins in this one.
