Miami opens a three-game set with Boston. The Marlins will send Sandy Alcantara to the mound. He is 2-6 with a 5.08 ERA. He will face off against the Red Sox Garrett Whitlock He is 4-2 with a 4.50 ERA. The Marlins took three of four over the weekend and are 8-3 over the last 11. The Marlins pitchers were outstanding as they allowed the Pirates just 8 runs in the series. Alcantara has struggled all season and allowed five runs in his last outing. The Marlins are just 6-9 in his 15 starts this season but are 3-1 over his four starts this month. Boston in 9-1 in thier last 10 against Miami and 15-2 in their last 17. The Marlins’ starter is 1-2 with a 5.36 ERA in seven road starts this season and this will be his first-ever start at Fenway Park. Boston is 4-0 in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 5-1 in the last six game ones of a series. Alcantara has not pitched well as of late giving up 5 runs in three of his last four starts. Miami averaged just over three runs against the Pirates and I don't see them scoring enough in this one.
