The Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals open up a three-game set in the nation's Capital. The Reds will go with Luke Weaver while the Nationals counter with Jake Irvin. Weaver has struggled, allowing at least four runs in his last starts and in four of five starts this month. On the season, he has posted a 6.96 ERA and 1.61 WHIP. The Nationals Irvin has posted a 4.72 ERA, 1.49 WHIP in 10 starts this season. The Nats are just 13-27 at home this season. The Reds are putting up 4.99 runs per game and should have opportunities to plate runs on Irvin. The Nationals score 4.13 runs a game. Weaver has struggled as of late but pitched better earlier in the season and has a chance to get back to that form versus this Nationals line-up. I like the Reds to get the win on the road against a rebuilding Nationals team.
