The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox finish off their Crosstown rivalry with the Cubs taking the first game of their two-game series. Marcus Stroman gets the call and as of now, Lance Lynn is the scheduled starter. Stroman started out the season strong, but in July, he posted a 6.46 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in 23.2 innings over his last five starts. For the season, he has a 3.09 ERA. Lance Lynn is scheduled to start but he could also be traded today or soon so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. he has not pitched well this season posting a 6.18 ERA. He has given up at least 4 runs in 12 of his 20 starts this year. Stroman has struggled over the last month but is facing a team that has no discipline at the plate and will swing at a lot of pitches out of the zone. It doesn't really matter if Lynn starts or not as this Sox team is pretty dysfunctional at the moment and you could see a lot of players moving over the next few days.
