The Toronto Blue Jays will send Chris Bassitt to the mound to face AL East Leader and rival the Baltimore Orioles and Kyle Gibson. Bassitt is 10-5 this season while Gibson is 9-6. The Orioles lead the series 5-1. Baltimore had lost three of their last four before last night's 9-3 win over the Yankees. Gibson has posted a 4.68 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP to go with his 9-6 record. Baltimore is 32-20 on the road this season. The Jays had a three-game winning streak snapped yesterday by the Angels. Bassitt has posted a 3.91 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP to go with his 10-5 record. He hasn't lost since June 13 and hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since June 23. The Jays are 29-21 at home this season. In 12 career starts against the Blue Jays, Gibson is 6-2. Bassitt faced the Orioles once this season, allowing 8 runs in three innings. Baltimore's pen is a little better and in a close game this could be the difference. I am taking Orioles at + money in this one.
