On the defensive side, they ranked 35th in the nation in points allowed and allowed the 62nd fewest amount of yards in college football. The Hurricanes were 5-7 overall and 3-5 in conference play. Miami returns their starting quarterback in Tyler Van Dyke. He threw for 1,844 yards, to go with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. They return Henry Parrish Jr., who rushed for 617 yards and four touchdowns. On the defensive side, they ranked 66th in total yards allowed and gave up the 82nd fewest amount of yards.
