The Colorado Rockies open a three-game set in the Windy City against the Chicago Cubs. The Rockies will give go with Dakota Hudson on the mound while the Cubs will go with Shota Imanaga. The Cubs went 4-2 against the Rockies last season. Hudson came over from the Cardinals during the offseason. Last season he went 6-3 with a 4.98 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP which were career worst numbers. In his career against the Cubs, he is 3-0 with a 3.72 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP in 37 innings. They lost three of four to Arizona, allowing 32 runs. Shota Imanaga will make his MLB debut for the Cubs. He came over from the Japanese League where he posted a 2.80 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP in 148 innings last year. He struggled this spring, allowing nine runs in 12.2 innings. Chicago opened the season on the road at Texas, where they lost two of three. They did score 14 runs but allowed 20. Shota Imanaga will be making his MLB debut after pitching his entire career in Japan. He did not pitch well during the Spring but the Rockies are nothing to write home about. Hudson is coming off his worst season so it could come down to the offenses, I like the Cubs offense more than the Rockies. This will be the home opener for the Cubs so Wrigley will be rocking.
