The New York Mets head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Cubs in the first game of their three-game series. The Mets will go with Jose Quintana on the mound and the Cubs will counter with Shota Imanaga. Quintana comes in at 2-5, with a 4.98 ERA while Imanaga is 7-1 with a 1.89 ERA. The Mets had their seven game winning streak snapped last time out. Quintana is 0-4 record with a 3.17 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in eight starts versus the Cubs. The Cubs took two of three from the Giants, including the series finale and have won two in a row. Imanaga has faced the Mets once in his career, going seven scoreless innings in getting the win. The Cubs have won three of their previous four matchups with the Mets at home. The Cubs rank fifth in the league in home ERA who;e the Mets are in the bottom half of the the league in road ERA. The Mets have lost four of their last six full series on the road. The Cubs got their bats going the last two games and they have the better pitcher on the mound. I am taking the Cubbies at home.
