The Angels walked off the Mariners last night as the usually dependable Mariners bullpen failed them in the ninth. This is strictly a pitching matchup bet for me. Over the last seven games George Kirby is 3-1 with a 2.28 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP in 43.1innings of work while Jose Soriano is 3-3 with a 4.01 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP in 42.2 innings. There is also a big difference between the offenses over the last week. The Mariners are putting up 5.17 runs in their last six games while the Angels are scoring just 3.43 runs in their last seven games. Jose Soriano has allowed seven runs in his last two starts. Seattle should have won game one and will not make that mistake again.
