The Red Sox and the Orioles start a four-game series. Boston is in a fight for a wild card spot sitting two games back of the Royals. But they have struggled losing five of their last seven games. Baltimore is one game away from the Guardians for the top spot in the American League.. The Orioles have owned Boston this season, posting a 5-2 record. Nick Pivetta will go for the Red Sox. He is 5-7 this season with a 4.44 ERA. The Red Sox are 10-7 when Pivetta starts but just 4-4 in home starts. Since the break he has posted a porous 5.40 ERA. Baltimore is ,aking a push for the division as well as the best record in the American League but have lost five of their last eight games. The Birds will send Zach Eflin to the mound. He is 8-3 with a 3.83 ERA of 3.83. Since coming to the Orioles, he has posted a 2.33 ERA in three starts. Baltimore is 3-0 when Eflin has started. Baltimore has a definite pitching advantage, Booth teams can produce runs and need to string some wind together after struggling a bit lately. I will take the Orioles in this one.
