We have early action in the BIG12 as the Baylor Bears take on the Utah Utes. Both teams easily won their openers over FCS opponents. Utah won the matchup last season 20-13. The Baylor Bears won the BIG12 conference Championship but have not played up to that level since. They went 3-9 last season with a 2-7 BIG12 record. Dequan Finn, the MAC Player of the Year last season, will be under center. Threw for 192 yards ans 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions. They rushed for 164 yards last week. Cameron Rising returned un a big way for Houston. The Utes went 8-5 last season. The Utes' offensive scored 23.2 points per game last season. Rising threw for 5 touchdowns and 254 yards and the team rushed for 185 yards. The defense was not a problem last season as they ranked in the top 20 nationally. Last season they allowed just 19.3 points per game. Utah traveled to Waco last season and cane away with a 14-7 win. Utah had won 18 straight at home before losing to Oregon but that ripped off the next two wins at home. Even though they won easily the Baylor offense was inconsistent. Baylor only played 4 road games last season and held a 2-2 record. The Ute’s will be able to put numbers on the scoreboard but won’t do enough on their own to bring in the over. Both teams like to run the ball which will keep the clock running. The Bears managed just 13 points against this squad and the game was in Waco. This line is a little high with Utah's defense on the field.
