The NY Jets take on their divisional rival the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. oss to the Seahawks at home on Sunday. Both teams come in at 1-1 this season. The Patriots have relied on their rushing game with Antonio Gibson and Stevenson both sharing the load. Quarterback Jacoby Brisset needs to improve his deep passing or teams will start stacking the box to shut down the running game. On the offensive side the Pats rushing attack is fifth is fifth in the NFL but their passing game is fourth worst. Things look the same on the defensive side where they are fifth best against the run but sixth worst against the pass. The jets defense stepped up after being destroyed by the 49’ers in week one. They are dealing with multiple injuries to the defense and the holdout of Hassan Reddick shows no signs of ending. And 24th in rushing yards. This will be the first home game of the season for the Jets. The Jets looked much better in Week 2 against the Titans, but it would have been hard to look worse than game one. As good as they looked, they have suffered some key injuries to the defense. This is a lot of points in a game of long drives, running the ball and field goals.
