The Minnesota Golden Gophers host the Iowa Hawkeyes. Both teams are 2-1 and this will be their first conference game. Iowa's only loss came at the hands of #20 Iowa State while Minnesota lost a close game to UNC. On the season Minnesota quarterback Max Brosmer has thrown for 627 yards, with three touchdowns, and one interception. Darius Taylor leads the rushing attack with 188 yards and three scores. For the Hawkeyes, Cade McNamara has thrown for 526 yards, with three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Kaleb Johnson has rushed for 479 yards with six touchdowns in three games. Kamari Moulton has added 124 yards on 30 carries this year. Minnesota won last season in Iowa but the Hawkeyes have won eight of their last nine meetings against the Golden Gophers. Iowa's rushing attack has been dominant and with injuries to Minnesota’s defensive line Iowa should be able to wear them down and control the second half of the game. Iowa's defense needs to limit Darius Taylor, which I think they can, Iowa should be able to control this game on both sides of the ball. Iowa has covered in their last five wins against Minnesota and they will get revenge from last season on the road in this one.
