Despite their starting quarterback leaving the team after three games the UNLV Rebels are 4-0 and ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time. They will look to go to 5-0 when they host the 3-1 Syracuse Orange. This is the first travel game for the Syracuse Orange this year. UNLV is 4-0 ATS while Syracuse is 1-3. The Orange are led by Kyle McCord with 372.5 passing yards a game. The offense is putting up 33.8 points per game. The Defense is giving up 25.3 points a game. Matthew Sluka left the program after a 3-0 start for more money. Hajj-Malik Williams came in and led them to a 59-14 win over Fresno State last week. He threw for 182 yards and rushed for 119 yards. UNLV is putting up 45.2 points a game while allowing 13.8. The kicking game could be the difference as UNLV is 9 for 11 this season and Syracuse is just 3-7. Syracuse has a top-rated passing attack but McCord has thrown 4 Interceptions in his last two games. The UNLV offense moves right along no matter who is under center. Vegas is looking to prove they can win with anybody under center.
