Sacramento opens their NBA season against the 0-1 Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves lost their season opener to the LA Lakers. Anthony Edwards led the TWolves with 27 points. Julius Randle and Dominic DeVincenzo came over from the Knicks and looked ok, but this team will need more games to gel into a cohesive unit. The Kings lost in the play-in game last season and is looking to do better. Last season, they ranked 13th in the league with 116.2 points of offense per game and 14th in points allowed. To improve the offense, they added
DeMar DeRozan, Jalen McDaniels, Doug McDermott among others. De’Aaron Fox is back and he finished eighth in scoring at 26.6 points per game last season. Domantas Sabonis averaged a double-double last season with 13.7 rebounds and 19.4 points a game. He also added 8.2 assists a game. The Kings are banged up to start the season but their key players are healthy. Sacramento took two of their last three games against the TWolves. I am taking the Kings in this one as Fox will hold his own against Edwards and I like Sabonis and DeRozan over Rande and Vinny at this point of the season.
