Notre Dame goes on the road to take on undefeated Navy in New Jersey. The Fighting Irish are ranked No. 12 with a 6-1 record and they are on a five-game winning streak. No. 24 Navy is 6-0 this year and is looking to make a statement against the Irish. Irish quarterback Riley Leonard has thrown for 1,182 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. Jeremiah Love has rushed for 462 yards and seven touchdowns. Notre Dame is 26th in scoring at 34.6 points per game, 17th in rushing and just 105th in passing. On the defensive side, they are fifth in points allowed at 11.9 points per game, 13th in pass defense and 29th against the run. Notre Dame is 5-2 against the spread this season. Navy is led by quarterback Blake Horvath. He has thrown for 888 yards with 10 touchdowns and one interception on the year. He has also rushed for 621 yards and has seven touchdowns. Navy ranks fourth in scoring at 44.8 points per game. They rank 4th in rushing and 125th in passing not too far behind the Irish. On the defensive side, they rank 30th in scoring at 19.7 points per game, 81st against the pass and 94th against the run. Navy is 5-1 against the spread this season. This is a different Navy team. They are not great passing the ball but can and have shown the ability to air it out, Northern Illinois was able to punch the Irish in the mouth and the Irish didn’t like it. Navy will do that from snap one and continue until the game is over. ND should win this game but I like navy to cover and will be rooting for the outright win with a sprinkle on the money-line personally.
