NFL - Vikings @ Lions
(NFL) Minnesota vs. Detroit,
Money Line: 111.00 Minnesota (Away)
Result: Loss
I like what the lions have done recently to improve their season and show that they really can make noise in this division while Green Bay and Chicago flounder into rebuilding years. However the Vikings need to really analyze what they have done the last 5-7 weeks defensively; winning games but allowing tons of points to teams who are relatively pedestrian through the air. A Lions team being favorited at home isn't a shock to me given what this offense can do to a terrible defense like Minnesota, as Detroit is not the same team they played in the beginning of the season. Even with the offensive woes I lean slightly to the Vikings to overcome some of the turmoil in the pass defense category with Detroit being down their Right Guard, and I expect Kirk Cousins to have more time in the pocket with this Tackle Christian Darisaw returning from a concussion he endured twice the last 2 weeks. Vikings will use this game to regain ground in the debate of them being "real contenders" and not pretenders, with another win over the Lions. I also expect Hockenson to get some revenge of his own against his former team.
