NFL - Texans @ Panthers
(NFL) Houston vs. Carolina,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -123.00 Houston (Away)
Result: Loss
Both teams off the BYE and we will be seeing a different style of play from the Panthers after Head Coach Frank Reich conceeded play-calling ability to Thomas Brown who stems from the Sean Mcvay coaching tree. That doesn't give me confidence that they win this game however, but it will make this game more exciting in favor of the Texans due to the fact that this is a new system the Panthers offense has to acclimate to, given that they only had a week to make the transition in play calling styles. One thing about play calling that can be said about the Texans..... it's working. CJ Shroud has been head and shoulders better than all the rookies this season and even better than some veterans around the league because of the Bobby Slowik and his ability to make things easy for the young QB in terms of not forcing the ball upfield (only has one interception this season) and has an average of 1.5 TD passes thrown. Panthers are tied for the 5th most TD average allowed per game at 1.7, and they are not stout at pass rushing pressure especially with Brian Burn and Gruiger-Hill not practicing Friday and are in danger of missing this game. This Texans defense is no slouch and Demico Ryan has done a phenomenal job with a rebuild team that we had 0 expectations for, but now we can't count them out of a playoff push potentially. They need this game to get to 4-3.

Official Play: Texans -3

Side Bet: CJ Shroud over 1.5 TDs thrown

Hail Mary: Over 43.5
