Chargers stink. That's the key theory where this bet derives from. You have a team with alot of money tied into the defense (Bosa, Khalil Mack, Derwin James) that has allowed 2+ TDs to everyone played but the Jets and Patriots who have hopeless offenses. It's not OC Kellen Moores fault, because they average 21 points per game, but now without Herbert, it cripples the only bright spot of the team.
Raiders are a weird draw since the firing of Josh McDaniels, showing stronger defense but inconsistent offense like we seen last weekend vs Minnesota. I like the Raiders here because of the seasoned QB
being on the home team and should have a field day in the passing game vs a Chargers team ranked 29th in passing yards allowed, and averaging 10 yards allowed per completion. Great opportunity for the interim coach of the Raiders to regain some hope in keeping his job after losing the last 3 games (though those were 3 playoff teams: Vikings, Chiefs, Dolphins). It's the Chargers with a QB making his first career start.... on a short week..... on the road. Not a chance I'll put my money on them here.
