Point Spread: -1.50 | -135.00 Chi Cubs (Home)
Result: Loss
I'm on the Cubs -1.5 runs at home for these reasons:
- Whitesox are the worst at hitting the ball this sesson, and with Shota Imanaga starting for the Cubs tonight, I'm not going to trust them to get any better in this spot. Imanaga is averaging less than 1 hit allowed per inning in the last 42 innings pitched.
- Shota is coming off his worst performance of his season, giving up 7 runs to the Brewers in Milwaukee and only had one strikeout thrown. This is a perfect bounceback spot for the 5-1 pitcher at home.
- Chris Flexen is starting for the Whitesox, and he has a 5.50 ERA, 2-5 record as a starter this season, and a 1.41 WHIP.
- I'm mainly fading the bats of the Chicago Whitesox. It should be a low scoring game overall, but the Cubs bullpen should be able to keep a lead if they score runs first.
Official Play: Cubs Runline
Side Bet: Under 9 Runs
Hail Mary: Shota Imanaga Under 4.5 Hits Allowed
