I'm on the Under 8.5 in this Dodgers vs the Chicago Whitesox for these reasons:
- Gavin stone has been serviceable for thr dodgers, 8-2, 3.04 ERA, and 1.20 whip. He's not hit very much, which bodes well in this matchup vs the poor hitting Whitesox.
- Erick Fredde is on the mound for Chicago and hes a good option to combat these Bats of LA, especially at home. We essentially only need him to take care of his own 6-7 innings, in order to successfully cash this bet. He's considerably better at striking out Bats than Gavin Stone, which makes things interesting in terms of who wins this matchup. He's only 5 runs in the last 20 innings, and has 86 strikeouts in 94 innings.
