Im on the Braves run line vs the Marlins for these reasons:
- Marlins squeaked a win in yesterday, but the Braves are going to end the series with a big win today with Max Fried getting the start vs Marlins Cabrera. Fried has been out since early July and his return will surely improve the entire production of this Braves team to end the second half of the season.
- Braves need to get their offense in order, and Cabrera could be a tell tell sign what direction this team is going, as he has a high fastball percentage and the Braves have had a high success rate vs the fastball until recently.
- The Braves need every win currently with the Phillies on a 6 game skid, they are less than 6 games from the division lead and the Marlins should not win 2 of the four games in this series if the Braves are serious, especially at home.
- In the games of this series, the Marlins had a chance to win or won, because of the first five innings. I don’t see Atlanta giving up runs in the first five innings with Max on the mound, while offensively, the Braves have been scoring early as well and should be able to get 2 in at least, before Cabrera leaves the mound.
Official Play: Braves Runline
Side Bet: Under 8.5 Runs
Hail Mary: Max Fried over 4.5 strikeouts
