I’m in on the Eagles -5.5 at home vs the Falcons for these reasons:
- We can’t trust Kirk Cousins, especially in prime time. He’s never been good in games where he’s the only game on television, and he had an abysmal start to the season vs the Steelers. The Eagles are going to bring similar if not stronger pressure to Kirk in this home opener, and he is not going to give his defense enough time off the field to successfully defend Saquon and the Arsenal of receivers at Phillies disposal.
- Eagles offense is the better offense, and they have the more seasoned coaching staff to combat the defense of the Falcons. They played a good Packers team in Brazil, now they need to stack the box for Bijan and pressure Kirk into mistakes.
