I’m on the Yankees in this game 4 at home vs the Dodgers for these reasons:

- The Yankees don’t want to get swept, and they won’t be in a game where it’ll be the bullpen pitching for the Dodgers. The last 3 matchups the dodgers had definitively the better pitcher on the mound each game, and now they’ll have to rely on a myriad of pitchers lacking superstar quality, vs the Yankees bats who need to wake up before going to LA where I do think the dodger’s finish things off and capture a World Series.

- Luis Gil has not been great but he’ll serve the Yankees well enough tonight to give the bats enough innings to score runs before he allows the dodgers score. The last time Gil played the dodgers he pitched 5.2 innings, had 5 strikeouts and allowed 3 runs off 5 hits. This could be a repeat case, where Gil stays clean for the first 4 innings while the dodgers give up runs, then Gil falters in the 5th inning and gets pulled from the mound. I’m banking on the Yankees bats to have 3-5 runs before Gil leaves the mound, where I think the Yankees Bullpen will finish the job well as they have in the past losses of this series after their starters crap the bed early.
