Pittsburgh continued their winning streak against Dallas in a 2-1 win last game out and have now won 6 in a row and are 11-1-1 in their last 13 games. Pittsburgh was 6-7-3 before this recent surge and are now 17-8-4 on the year.

Florida is 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and are now 14-12-4 on the season. Florida has taken a step backwards this year after trading Huberdeau and Weegar away for Tkachuk. Matthew Tkachuk did not participate in the morning and his status is uncertain.
