🏈CFL Week 2🏈Montreal Alouettes at Edmonton Elks
(CFL) Montreal vs. Edmonton,
Point Spread: -5.50 | -115.00 Montreal (Away)
Result: Loss
Montreal took over right where they left off last season with a dominant 27-12 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 1. I had questions about Montreal’s offense but it looked great in week 1 against Winnipeg. Montreal’s defense looked just as dominant as it was last season and is likely the best defense in the CFL.

It’s the same old Edmonton Elks who opened their season with a 29-21 loss at home to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Edmonton did not look awful in their first game but did what Edmonton do and that is shoot themselves in the foot and find ways to lose games.

Edmonton lost both preseason games last year before opening the season 0-9 before finally getting their first win in Week 11. Edmonton has once again lost both preseason games this season and lost their first game of the regular season this year. Edmonton is 2-25 in their last 27 home games.

Montreal is 3-0 in their last 3 games in Edmonton winning all 3 games by at least a touchdown. Montreal has a MUCH better defense here and look for them to leave Edmonton with at least a 6 point victory. Tyson Philpot had 141 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in week 1.

Pick: Montreal Alouettes -5.5
Bonus Pick: Tyson Philpot Anytime Touchdown
Bonue Pick 2: Tyson Philpot Over 67.5 Receiving Yards.
